The SE 43rd Avenue Bridge that spans Relief Creek (Taylor Creek) Bridge will be replaced with a 45-foot, simple-span bridge, designed and constructed by Ferreira. Work included the construction of a 135-foot foundation, deck system, and all bridge approaches.
The project also included concrete approaches and landscaping with sod and tree plantings. The work progressed in two phases to maintain pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The design/build score award was 102 of a possible 110 from the Florida Department of Transportation.
