The project included the demolition, construction and rehabilitation of a Metropolitan Transportation Authority station. Ferreira built steel canopies, elevated structure mezzanine roofs and site drainage systems. Work included the demolition and reconstruction of sidewalk areas and bus station slabs, the construction of a modern dispatch booth, and the systems. The installation of an Avian Flyaway Electric Barrier System made this project unique. With this, Ferreira conducted an environmental cleanup, which included the removal and disposal of lead paint, and the abatement of bird droppings, carcasses and nests.
