Ferreira Coastal was subcontracted to install the entire Lockheed Martin solar field, including 55,000 panels and associated ground mounts and racking. Ferreira Coastal also installed all associated electrical connections and inverters, as well as the connection to Southern California Edison’s grid. This field will power Lockheed Martin’s research and development facility with the hope of generating extra power for the grid. It was a great pleasure to work side by side with Burns & McDonnell and Lockheed Martin on this award-winning project.
