The City of Port St. Lucie’s Parks & Recreation Department and Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) approved as part of their master plan to create a Pioneer Park Playground in the heart of Port St. Lucie. The park will include a one-of-a-kind play experience for visitors, including sensory play for all levels of physical capabilities, climbable schooner and alligator, rope climbing structure, water play features, swings and other motions, 6’ chalk wall, sidewalks, landscaping, interpretive and wayfinding signage, safety surfacing, lighting, and so much more. Ferreira has been named the prime contractor for this groundbreaking project.
On August 3rd, 2022, the City broke ground on the Port’s Pioneer Park and Playground Project. The ceremony marks the start of the 270-day construction project, ten years in the making. Members of Team Blue attended this monumental event and look forward to helping put Port St. Lucie on everyone’s must-see destinations!
