As we embrace the current holiday season, Ferreira takes pride in building a future filled with compassion and community engagement. Our commitment to a culture of giving back is at the forefront of our values, and we actively encourage our employees to share their time generously within their communities. Through initiatives like Ferreira Elves, Camp Fatima, local food banks, and various outreach programs, our employees and their families dedicate their time to making a positive impact.

At Ferreira, we firmly believe that investing even a small amount of time in community service contributes to the creation of a brighter future for the places we live in and the places we call home. Take a look at what some of our locations are doing to spread the holiday cheer this season.

Headquarters

This year, Ferreira HQ is proud to extend a helping hand by providing gifts for 25 families in the Hunterdon, Somerset, and Warren County areas through our collaboration with the Family Support Organization (FSO). FSO is a remarkable organization whose support staff possesses firsthand experience in raising a child with special needs. They go beyond merely offering gifts; FSO is dedicated to educating families on their rights and responsibilities within the NJ System of Care. Moreover, FSO empowers families by helping them recognize their strengths.

The generosity of everyone involved is greatly appreciated by FSO, and we are excited to continue the positive momentum from last year for another successful holiday season. The support Ferreira HQ is offering is making a meaningful difference in the lives of these families, fostering a sense of empowerment and community.

Ferreira Southeast-Hobe Sound Office

This holiday season, the Hobe Sound office is actively engaging with their local community to spread joy and make a positive impact. Through collaboration with vendors, gifts have been purchased for organizing an auction, where all proceeds will be dedicated to supporting a local charity. This initiative not only promotes camaraderie but also enhances team spirit and contributes to the betterment of the community. Moreover, the Hobe Sound office is embracing the spirit of giving by hosting a collection of Toys for Tots, ensuring that children in need experience the magic of the season. These efforts reflect Team Blue’s commitment to fostering a festive atmosphere while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around them.

Ferreira Southeast- Miami Office

Members of Team Blue from the Miami office recently united with the Engineering Contractors Association of South Florida for a meaningful initiative. His House Children’s Home, a private non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to restoring the lives of children from newborn to 18 years of age, holds a special place in our hearts. One of the most significant events on the calendar at His House is the first Saturday of December. On this day, the community works together to “Deck the Halls” and decorate the homes of the children under their care. This not only turns the entire campus into a festive wonderland but also spreads the spirit of Christmas, ensuring that each child feels the joy, hope, and love of the season This special event demonstrates the power of community and compassion, making a positive impact locally and in the lives of children in need.

Ferreira Atlantic Coastal-Rhode Island Office

Ferreira’s inaugural golf tournament, Builders of Hope, held at Warwick Country Club in Warwick, RI, was a remarkable success, raising an impressive $50,000 for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Al Marsocci, the COO of Ferreira Atlantic Coastal and a member of the Rhode Island Advisory Council for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island brought together Team Blue and professionals from the construction industry to fulfill life-changing wishes for local children battling critical illnesses. Key supporters, including Bentley Builders, Gilbane Construction, and WT Rich, all made pivotal donations, significantly contributing to the event’s success. The timing of this substantial fundraising and community effort during the holiday season adds an extra layer of significance, highlighting the community’s unwavering dedication to bringing hope and joy to children facing critical illnesses during this special time of year. Michael Vieira, Rhode Island Regional Director of Make-A-Wish Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ferreira for orchestrating this event, underscoring the positive impact it has on local wish children.

During the evening program, a “wish” mom, Colleen, shared a heartwarming story about her son Phoenix’s wish for a playhouse, emphasizing the profound and lasting effect these wishes have, especially during the holiday season. This heartwarming event exemplifies the spirit of generosity and community, making a real difference in the lives of children in need.
