Best Energy/Industrial Project

Ferreira Coastal was subcontracted to install the entire Lockheed Martin solar field, including 55,000 panels and associated ground mounts and racking. Ferreira Coastal also installed all associated electrical connections and inverters as well as the connection to Southern California Edison’s grid. This field will power Lockheed Martin’s research and development facility with the hope of generating extra power for the grid. 

Best In Construction Award

Ferreira was recognized by the FTBA for their Best in Construction Award in the category of Alternative Contract Award for Project No. 441832-1-52-01 on SR 826 from NW 122nd St. to NW 138th. The project included the minor widening with ADA ramps, new drainage, milling/resurfacing, signage, and pavement markings.

FTBA Safety Award

Ferreira was recognized by the FTBA for their Safety Award. FTBA recognizes companies for their outstanding safety records for the federal fiscal year.

PSEG MTB Transmission Line NJ Leading Infrastructure Project Award

Ferreira was recognized by NJ Alliance for Action for the New Jersey’s Leading Infrastructure Projects award. The award is given to projects for their innovative, pioneering, and landmark construction initiatives that greatly impact the state’s economy and to honor the businesses and organizations that work together as partners to ensure the project’s success.

Gold Safety Award

Ferreira was recognized by ConstructSecure for their Gold Safety Award. Ferreira was a recipient of this award due to having a safety score between 85% to 95% in the Safety Assessment program completed by ConstructSecure.

Construction Power 50

Nelson Ferreira, President, and CEO of Ferreira was recognized by City & State New York as a leading contractor who is building and rebuilding New York. 

Best in Construction “Urban” Award

Ferreira was recognized by the FTBA for their Best in Construction “Urban” Award. Ferreira was recognized for working on one of the most innovative, complex, and impactful projects around the state of Florida each year. The “Urban” project that Ferreira won the award for was NW 47th Ave. Reconstruction from North of NW 199th St. to Premier Parkway, Miami-Dade County, District 6.  

Community of Inclusion Award-Outstanding Performance by a Minority Business

Ferreira was recognized by Burns & McDonnell for their Community of Inclusion Award-Outstanding Performance by a Minority-Business. Community of Inclusion Awards recognize small and diverse businesses in California for outstanding project performance and client service on critical infrastructure projects.  Recipients of this award have supported Burns & McDonnell on electrical transmission and distribution, aviation, environmental, community engagement, manufacturing and construction projects.

Gold Safety Award

Ferreira was recognized by ConstructSecure for their Gold Safety Award. Ferreira was a recipient of this award due to having a safety score between 85% to 95% in the Safety Assessment program completed by ConstructSecure.

Champion Award

New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Supplier Diversity Development Council (NJBPU SDDC) awards this to a member of the SDDC Board in appreciation for the championing of the SDDC’s mission and unwavering support in providing market access and economic opportunities for diverse businesses in New Jersey’s regulated utility marketplace.

Pulse Award Winner

Ferreira was recognized by Pulse of City News as the Pulse Award Winner. Pulse of City conducted independent research and identified businesses that deliver on their promise of exceptional service. As top-performers in our industry, Ferreira in Rehoboth, MA earned a top rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

Best in Construction “Community Awareness” Award

Ferreira was recognized by the Florida Transportation Builders Association (FTBA) for the Best in Construction “Community Awareness” Award. Ferreira won the award for our work on Old Dixie Highway from NE 13th to South End of Bridge over Middle River project. 

Award of Superior Achievement for an Outstanding Safety Record

Ferreira received this award issued by the Florida Transportation Builders Association (FTBA).  The FTBA is governed by its officers and board, the mission of the FTBA is to connect, explore, promote, and support the state transportation industry. The FTBA, based in Tallahassee, Florida, supports the transportation construction industry in a variety of ways including continued education opportunities, supporting the FDOT in the development of its specifications, fostering public understanding of the industry, encouraging honesty, and integrity in industry practices for the industry and its regulators.

Outstanding Diverse Supplier

New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Supplier Diversity Development Council (NJBPU SDDC) awards this to a diverse supplier in appreciation of your unwavering support of the SDDC, its mission, and legacy of advocating business opportunities on behalf of diverse businesses in the State of New Jersey.

Outstanding Minority Business Award

Presented by the National Minority Business Council, Inc. (NMBC).   The NMBC, a non-profit corporation, was founded in 1972. The primary purpose of the organization is to enhance the success and profitability of the small business community through the provision of high-quality services such as procurement, education and training, advocacy financing, and business development/networking support. Its secondary purpose is to act as an information clearinghouse for women- and minority-owned business enterprises (MWBE).

Supplier Diversity Excellence Award

Ferreira was recognized by Con Edison for Excellence in Supplier Diversity. Awardees are presented with this award for their steadfast support of Con Edison’s Supplier Diversity Program. Ferreira’s efforts contributed to a reliable supply of goods and services by MWBEs and to the development of economic growth within Con Edison’s service territory.
