The Aldene-Warinanco-Linden VFT (AWL) is designed to strengthen the electric transmission system by replacing facilities between PSEG’s Aldene Switching Station in Cranford, NJ, and Linden VFT Switching Station in Linden, NJ, in 4 municipalities throughout Union County. Ferreira was responsible for site clearing, demolition and removal of the old towers and foundations, installation of tower foundations ranging from 17 to 47 feet in depth and 5 to 11 feet in diameter. Ferreira was also responsible for constructing and maintaining the access roads during performance of our own operations as well as those of the overhead contractors post construction site remediation.
