The Palmdale Solar Project is an approximately 25 MW photovoltaic solar power field being installed as part of Lockheed Martin’s initiative to provide sustainable power to their company’s facilities. Ferreira Coastal was contracted to install the entire solar field, including 55,000 panels and associated ground mounts and racking.

Ferreira also installed all associated electrical connections and inverters as well as the connection to Southern California Edison’s grid. This field will power Lockheed Martin’s research and development facility with the hope of generating extra power for the public electrical grid.
