PSEG Kearny Meadowlands Maintenance Complex (MMC) construction is part of PSEG’s Energy Strong Program. The program involves the investment to harden PSEG’s electric and gas infrastructure to make them less susceptible to damage from wind, flying debris, and water damage in anticipation of major storm events. Ferreira was responsible for the three upgrade phases at MMC. All three phases of the project involved raising the elevation. Throughout the three phases, Ferreira was responsible for building transformer foundations and containments, support foundations, a GIS building foundation, a control building foundation, installation of ductbanks and manholes, and installation of utilities (gas, water, sewer, etc.) from the street to the building.
