The bridge deck of the New Jersey Turnpike above Main Street in Edison, NJ was part of NJTA’s initiative to replace aging infrastructure throughout New Jersey. Ferreira replaced the entire superstructure of the bridge along with bearing replacements and various structural steel repairs. Ferreira also reconstructed the approaches on the NJ Turnpike mainline. In addition, necessary routine and emergency repairs were performed in the surrounding areas of the overpass. Ferreira was required to respond to the emergency repairs on an immediate basis.
