Java Site Solar Installation

Location:
Lemoore, California

Owner:
Major Utility Company

Year Completed:
2022

Over the past several years, California has made a commitment to providing residents with green energy especially after passing California Senate Bill 1020 which puts the state on the path to achieving 90% renewable energy and zero-carbon electricity by the end of 2035 and 95% by the end of 2040. In response to this effort, a major utility company proposed developing, owning, and operating a 14MW photovoltaic solar farm. The intention of the electricity produced from the solar farm is to be sold to public utility, commercial, and industrial companies and distributed for public consumption.

Ferreira Coastal was the prime contractor and was responsible for the full 14 MW solar farm installation including civil (SWPP BMP, site preparation, and site restoration), structural (foundation installation, solar racking installation, BESS container placement, POI equipment placement, BOS equipment placement), and electrical site work (solar module installation, solar collection, solar commissioning, BESS installation and collection, BOS equipment installation, etc.
