In early January 2020, the Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) revealed plans to build a new 90,000-square-foot Surgical Institute slated to open in 2023. The institute will house 16 state-of-the-art operating rooms and two hybrid operating rooms in the dedicated facility. The plans for the Surgical Institute came in direct response to Jupiter Medical Center’s rapid growth and trying to enhance its facilities to keep up with competitors as JMC is one of the few stand-alone hospitals left in South Florida. 

Ferreira Southern is the prime contractor on the Surgery Institute portion of the project and is responsible for the installation of sanitary sewer, stormwater, sidewalks, striping, and surveying.
