PSEG’s Gas System Modernization Program began in 2015 to ensure the utility can continue to support a safe, clean, and reliable gas system. In addition to replacing the aging infrastructure, the program also provided for pressure upgrades to ensure the system would not be compromised by water infiltration. These upgrades have made New Jersey’s natural gas system safer, more reliable and helps reduce methane leaks, enhancing the Clean Air Incentive for years to come. Ferreira has been awarded multiple contracts under this program in Northern NJ. Major work items on the projects include installation of new gas mains, and service replacements and renewals.
